The Link between Paxil and Insomnia

If you have found yourself suffering from insomnia recently, perhaps the medications that you are taking could be part of the problem. For patients taking Paxil, insomnia appears to be one of the more common side effects of this drug. However, the conditions that Paxil is used to treat, such as depression and anxiety, can also be culprits in sleep deprivation. Therefore, it is difficult to ascertain whether Paxil and insomnia are really linked or if it is coincidence that so many patients on Paxil suffer from insomnia as well. Your doctor has just prescribed Paroxetine and you’ve been taking it and feel good but you just can’t seem to get to sleep. You’re not alone. Paroxetine and insomnia sometimes go hand and hand.
